Applications for the Business Events Growth Programme 2021/22 are now open!

The Business Events Growth Programme support the attraction of international business events and the growth of the international profile of business events in the UK. The programme has two funding strands: ‘Bid Enhancement and Support’ for UK cities bidding for international events; and ‘International Delegate Growth’ which supports existing business events to boost international delegate profile and attendance.

Organisations can also apply, on an ongoing basis, for support with UK Government advocacy in bidding for international events or growing the international profile of existing events. This ranges from letters of support and video messages from ministerial and senior officials.

To date, the Business Events Growth Programme, launched in 2016 as the Event Support Programme, has supported 53 events and bids across the UK from Aberdeen to Bristol, London to Belfast and Brighton to Glasgow with more than £1 million awarded.
