UKEVENTS DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION (DEI) GROUP
The working group's key priority objectives are as follows:
- Ensure the further development of diversity and inclusion policies and practices that promote equity in the events industry
- Focus on driving best practice to influence and impact change on the DEI issues and challenges that are currently affecting the industry.
The working group's core areas of focus are:
- Talent Acquisition through fair hiring and recruitment practices
- Drive greater accessibility at events
- Education, Awareness and Support of gender health challenges e.g. menopause, returning parents
- Education, Awareness to Support neurodivergence e.g. ADHD, dyslexia, other hidden disabilities
- Education, Awareness and Support on any other identified initiatives that focus on the protected characteristics.
