BVEP Research into subvention practices

Please find below the links to the online surveys relating to BVEP’s research into subvention practices.  Please note that the deadline for completion is 31st March.

The Business Visits and Events Partnership (BVEP), on behalf of the newly-created Events Industry Board (EIB), wishes to understand how competitive the UK is and how subvention practices can help us win more events in future.

The 2011 report into subvention and bid support practices is being updated in order to understand how influential these practices are in winning bids for international conferences. We need your help with this to find out the extent to which other countries and cities may be gaining competitive advantage over the UK's destinations through use of these practices. Such understanding will then be used by the EIB to inform the implementation of the Government’s events strategy launched in 2015, designed to identify and secure more international events for the UK.

We would appreciate your help in responding to the ten questions on the survey link below. We are aware that some information may be sensitive, so we can guarantee that anything you wish to remain private will only be reported collectively. There is an extra box to tick to indicate this. We do understand UK cities are competitive with each other so the main focus is international conferences.
