Bidding for a Congress

This white paper (piblished in 2010) describes the bidding process involved in attracting an international congress to a country. It is aimed at the national group or chapter of an international organisation which may be considering a bid to host the organisation's international congress in their country. It describes the benefits from hosting such an event, bid criteria, the bid team and organising committee, project management, and arrangements for site inspections.
