Following the success of last year's National Events Month October (#NEMO) Britain for Events are proud to announce the return of the annual campaign's promotional month, #NEMO.
Following the same structure as last year, National Events Month October will dedicate four consecutive weeks in October that celebrate sectors of the events industry; 'Conferences and Meetings', 'Exhibitions and Experiential', 'Outdoor, Music, Sporting and Cultural' and 'Corporate Hospitality'.
Last year National Events Month October was the key promotional month for the Britain for Events campaign, the most inclusive self promotional campaign for the UK events industry. The Britain for Events twitter handle reached a staggering 2.5k followers in just over two months through the National Events Month hashtag, #NEMO. Since then, the campaign has reached almost 3k event organisers.
Alongside the success of the campaign on social media, analytics showed the Britain for Events campaign engaged over 750k event organisers in the UK alone. "Britain for Events continues to make steps to grow the UK events industries profile and international competiveness, but with #NEMO, we have a brand that really engages event organisers," comments Alistair Turner, Campaign Director, Britain for Events. "Event organisers love that we're out there waving the flag for their industry, and they are right behind us again this year."
Since the success of last year's #NEMO, the campaign has also gained a host of new supporters, including Cvent, venuefinder.com, International Confex, IMEX, and many more. #NEMO will also return in 2015 with a new brand image and more ambitious plans for the month. Although the promotional month won't be taking place until October 2015, event organisers can jump on the back of the initiative
in the coming months.
"In the run up to National Events Month 2015, Britain for Events will continue to work closely with industry associations to develop support and participation for each week," continued Turner. "In return for their support, #NEMO will continue to promote industry events on www.nationaleventsmonth.co.uk, which includes details of where, when and how to get involved".
