Benefits of Brexit - The government has published their benefits of Brexit document. It lists the 50% reduction in air passenger duty in 2023–24 as a benefit to domestic tourism and the Hospitality Strategy as a benefit to inbound tourism but oddly there is no mention of the Tourism Recovery Plan or the wider benefits of the UK tourism industry.

Points Based Immigrant Guidance Updated

With recent changes taking place to UK immigration routes, the Home Office have updated their points-based immigration system guidance for employers on how businesses can recruit overseas workers. Updates to the guide include temporary worker routes and conducting right to work checks.

TIER Brexit Update (02.08.2021)

Guidance has been updated on which vehicle documents need to be carried if driving a bus or coach across international borders. Green cards are no longer needed to drive in the EU (including Ireland), Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Serbia or Switzerland.

Insurance green cards will not be needed from 2 August 2021 to drive in the EU (including Ireland), Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Liechtenstein, Norway, Serbia or Switzerland for international bus or coach services and tours.

  • Applications are now open for the SME Brexit Support Fund. Smaller businesses can get up to £2,000 to pay for practical support, including training or professional advice to adjust to new customs, rules of origin and VAT rules when trading with the EU.
