The work of the Events Industry Board has received further endorsement from two major figures in government.
In a recent meeting with both the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport (The Rt Hon Karen Bradley MP) and the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Sport, Tourism and Heritage (Tracey Crouch MP), Chair of the Events Industry Board, Nick de Bois, outlined the Board’s progress so far and pressed the case for continuing advocacy for events across government.
Industry leaders have welcomed the progress made in support for the events industry, reflected in a new Tourism Action Plan launched by the Government today.
The Events Industry Board took place on 1st June and signed off the process for future support (financial and otherwise) which will be launched soon. The programme will help to win more events for the UK, and support the growth in scale and reach of existing British events. Stay tuned for more information in future DCMS newsletters.
