The 2014 'UK Events Market Trends Survey' (UKEMTS) research is a major research project, now in its 21st consecutive year.  It provides volume and key trends data for the UK conference and business events market from a supply-side or venue perspective. The research was undertaken on behalf of EVCOM by Tony Rogers Conference & Event Services and TEAM Tourism. 413 venues took part in the 2014 study, 11.8 per cent of the universe of 3,500 primary venues used as the basis for the research. The number of reporting venues was significantly higher than in 2013 when 224 venues participated.

Earlier in 2013, VE commissioned Trajectory, a leading insight and futures consultancy, to help them identify the trends that will influence domestic tourism over the coming years, drawing on their own research and the views of industry experts. This report (published in December 2013) sumarises the trens identified and presents them in five groups - demographic, economic, technilogical, consumer and torusim-related.

Ticketing and the broader events industry is undergoing dramatic change at the hands of internet and mobile technology. To see what this means in reality, ticketscript have conducted a survey of 1,000 people who bought a ticket to an event in the past six months. The results are compiled in an exclusive ticketscript report published in November 2013. The report uncovers the truth about how ticket buyers think and behave today. A must-read for any event professional, the survey reveals paradigm-shifting statistics related to fundamental issues in ticketing. More information here.
