EIF agrees to over £83,000 in Purple Guide grants | Deadline for next round 1st March 2023

The Events Industry Forum has agreed to provide over £83,000 in Purple Guide grants for four projects within the outdoor events industry, taking the total in EIF Grants to over £196,000 since EIF was established in 2014. Those receiving grants are:

APPG for Events - Lucy Powell MP, Shadow Secretary of State for DCMS joins the APPG for Events

Lucy Powell MP has joined the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Events, as of 31 January 2023. Powell is the Labour Member of Parliament for Manchester Central and has been an MP since 2012. She currently holds the role of Shadow Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.

TBOE - Events industry excluded from energy support scheme

Conference and exhibition centres and the wider events industry have been excluded from the Government’s new Energy Bill Relief Scheme. However, historic buildings, museums, zoos, and other similar attractions that can hold events will qualify.
